This was a bit of an exciting week for us. We had to have a beehive removed from our house. Not as scary for us as one might imagine–i was actually kinda sad they had to go because i appreciate their presence in my garden and neighborhood. But as they had made their new home in our empty soffit, which runs all along the length of the house, we had to move them on before they filled it up with a buzzing honeyfest.
We used a humane company who removes the hive an then donates it to a farm where the bees can make a new hive and go on with their buzzy lives. These guys were doing ANYTHING but foolin’ around. That’s the hive there in the container–estimated 7000 bees.
